Here, Trigger!

We have been working with Grant on using words instead of pointing and grunting. The other night we were sitting at the dinner table after dinner and were talking to him. We asked "Where's Trigger? Can you say Trigger?" Grant says "Triggie" and starts looking around for him. When Trigger doesn't respond, Grant again says "Triggie" and picks a piece of food off of his plate and throws in on the floor. Danny and I have never done this and never taught Grant to do this. The smart little poot knows that Trigger will come running when he hears food hit the floor! Sure enough... They are smarter than we give them credit for!
